Sarah is grounded in her Mohawk culture, with a strong belief in the teachings of peace, strength and the good mind - sken:nen, ka'sastenhsera, ka'nikonhri:yo.
Sarah has a strong understanding of energy, and its healing properties. As a Mohawk woman, she carries good energy as healing medicine for those she works with. Her teachings come from many Mohawk mentors, knowledge holders known as her "aunties and uncles," as well as Anishnaabe mentors.
Sarah has experience working with people from various backgrounds and genders; however, her previous experience has primarily been with women and children. She has experience working with men in the criminal justice system, as well as dads' through various programming. She is also a strong advocate for ending violence against women and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.
